Easter decor at Dollar Tree mostly consists of cutesy designs and glittery colors. I realize that many people enjoy decorating that way (more power to you!), but it’s just not my style. That’s why I created this super easy Dollar Tree Easter DIY!

I’ve never had any trouble finding adorable fall and Christmas decorations at Dollar Tree, but Valentine’s Day, spring, Easter, and summer decor is another story. That’s when I’ve had to get more creative.

While browsing the Dollar Tree aisles for Easter decor the other day, I was feeling frustrated. Nothing seemed like my cup of tea- until I spotted little bags filled with miniature gold eggs! I immediately ran over and grabbed some off the rack.

I had no idea what I was going to do with them, but I knew I’d figure something out. Sure, they’re plastic and hollow, but it’s pretty hard to tell from a few feet away. I think they have a really lovely look to them, overall.

In the end, I ended up with two elegant Easter arrangements that cost only $4 each! Both bouquets took me only 20 minutes to assemble.

Though not quite as simple as the Dogwood Blossom Floral Arrangement I made the other day, they’re still pretty easy! Anyone can easily make them.

Dollar Tree Easter DIY Supplies

For this project, you will need the following supplies from the Dollar Tree for each arrangement:

• 1 square glass candleholder
• 1 bag miniature gold easter eggs
• 2 stems geraniums (or other flower of your choice); I used 1 white and 1 pink stem for each arrangement

How To

Step 1 – Start by pouring the bag of miniature gold eggs into your glass candleholder. I found that a bag and a half actually fills the container better, so 3 bags could easily be divided into 2 candleholders for a more filled look.

Step 2 – With a pair of wire cutters, trim each branch off of the main stem.

Step 3 – Twist 4 of the cut stems together, arranging the flowers as you go. You will end up with 3 separate mini bouquets, consisting of 4 cut stems each.

Step 4 – Twist your 3 mini bouquets into 1 large one. You may need to trim the ends so that your bouquet fits nicely into the vase.

Step 5 – Finish your Easter arrangement by playing with the flower stems to create a nice shape. Pull most of the leaves to the bottom of the bouquet, but leave a few interspersed among the flowers.

For a more versatile arrangement, you can simply use 2 stems of white flowers and get the elegant look in the photo above.

And here are the finished Easter arrangements! I love how the miniature gold eggs add a simple Easter theme without going overboard.

To decorate, I placed my Easter arrangements on a wooden tray. They bring a sweet cheerfulness and brightness to my living room, yet still keep things classy. Plus, at $4 each, you really can’t go wrong!
